April 2025 – Welcome to Spring!

After a very trying winter season, our highway crews are going to start sweeping roads sometime during the 2nd week of April – weather permitting. They are also doing more tree work on Francis Road. The work they did in cutting hazardous trees last fall helped tremendously to prevent the town from having trees in the road during all the periods of high winds we have had.

Our town clean up days are going to be May 9th and May 10th – the hours and information will be here on the website.

Some county updates as well:

The county will be demolishing the highway office building in Wampsville sometime this year because of poor repair and asbestos. Highway offices were moved to the Social Services building.

The Delphi Falls Project is almost complete; the opening will be sometime in May – hopefully!

As always, contact me with any questions. Thank you all!

March 2025 – Hopefully, Spring is on the way!?

Clean up is ongoing from the storms on February 16 and 17 and some of our Town roads have not fared well – due to the cold, snowy, and windy weather – 107 inches and counting!

We have to wait until the frost is gone before some of these roads can be repaired.

The Town has received text and phone calls on how much people appreciate the effort of our Highway Department this winter. Under such brutal conditions, sometimes working 20 hours straight, our Highway Department has kept the roads open and safe.

The Madison County Highway Department has told me that Fenner has the worst roads in the county to try and keep open because of the wind.

Here’s to hoping Spring is coming!

As always, if there are any questions or concerns about anything at all, please feel free to contact me at any time.
