From the Honorable Ann Jones:

A town court, often referred to as a municipal court, is a local court that handles a variety of legal matters within its jurisdiction. Typically, town courts deal with misdemeanors, traffic violations, small claims, and local ordinance violations.

They play a crucial role in the judicial system by providing a forum for resolving disputes, enforcing local laws, and ensuring justice is served on a community level. Judges in town courts often have the authority to impose fines, order community service, or even mandate attendance at educational programs, depending on the case.

The Town of Fenner Court is part of the New York State Unified Court System. The court has broad jurisdiction and hears both criminal and civil matters.

Court will meet on:

1st Thursday of each month – Traffic Court
2nd Thursday of each month – Criminal Court
Court starts at 5:00 PM
